These silver cufflinks are such a unique gift to give to someone that loves Edinburgh, Scotland.  The stones used to be cobblestones from the world famous Royal Mile that runs from Edinburgh Castle down to Holyrood Palace.  They would make a wonderful anniversary gift, milestone birthday gift or wedding gift.
 
The cobblestones on the Royal Mile were lifted to extend the pavements and the extra ones have been cut and polished to show off the beautiful colours.  These are made from granite and basalt and have a range of black and grey colours.  I have set these little pieces of history in recycled sterling silver with handmade cufflink chains on the back.  I have added little 'cobblestones' to the back of the cufflinks and they have been hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office.    
 
The back of the cufflinks has been given a matt finish rather than a high shine and the silver around these little cobblestones has been darkened to enhance them.
 
The cufflinks measure approximately 25 x 14 mm and they will be delivered gift wrapped.  Due to the nature of the cobblestones they do not have exactly the same dimensions.
