This organic sterling silver necklace has been made from molten silver and raw sapphire gemstones.  I use small scraps of recycled sterling silver which I melt into molten spheres and then press a sapphire nugget into.  The silver and sapphire spheres are then soldered to each other and the necklace is fastened with a toggle clasp.
 
The back of the necklace has a lovely irregular surface created from surface imprints from when the silver was molten.   There are 6 sapphires in the necklace.  
 
The width of the sapphire pendant is 33 mm and the chain length is 18 inches (41 cm) with a toggle clasp.  
 
It would make a beautiful gift for someone with a birthday in September as sapphires are the September birthstone.  A piece of handmade jewellery always makes a very thoughtful gift.
 
To reduce unnecessary waste I am offering the option of wrapping your order in a gift box tied with a ribbon or simple wrapped carefully in tissue paper if a box is not required.
