These handmade moonstone earrings were inspired by lichen. They feature a round moonstone sitting within a sterling silver lichen shape with a second oval moonstone hanging from the base. They would make a wonderful addition to an outfit especially for a nature lover and are perfect for lovers of botanical jewellery, woodland-inspired design, and contemporary silver jewellery.
They have been made using traditional metal-smithing techniques and recycled sterling silver. The moonstones sit within sterling silver settings and the bottom moonstone is free to gently move under the lichen shape. The moonstones gently shine and give a mystical feel to the jewellery. I have left the back of the oval gemstone setting open to allow light in and enhance the shine.
The total drop of the earrings is 35 mm. The small round moonstone has a 4 mm diameter and the oval moonstone measures 10 x 8 mm.
